Messed Up
Messed Up
I present myself, honest and true
I am rejected, through and through
I am okay for a moment
I am then fearful and skeptical, anger foments
I proceed to question
I must sit and wait, a painful procession
I am in darkness; no future is bright
I am guaranteed no light
I grab ahold of my only solace, stuffing self with emptiness
I wear emptiness all over my body, no lasting fullness
I reap the seeds of others? discontent
I look at my reflection, does it misrepresent
I am tired of the fight, mind and body filled with contempt
I proceed to ask if there is any end to my torment
I grab ahold of my only solace, stuffing self with emptiness
I wear emptiness all over my body
I am a mess

Suicide
He felt like he was falling into a deep black pit when they told him. It had been worse than worse, having to face his mates on Monday, having to tell them that his mother had died over the weekend, that he had cried like a child when he found out, that he had been weak.
But they had understood- which surprised him. But still, he could not deal with the grief that was there, the anger, the betrayal, the hurt…
His only relief was to cut himself.
At first, nobody noticed. He wore long-sleeved shirts and thick jackets to cover the scars and band-aids. But as winter became summer, people began to wonder.
He had always been closed in since his mother died. He wished of how he could be up there with her, being himself again. But he couldn't escape.
One warm night, he accompanied a friend home on his bike with plans in his mind. They parted at the river crossing, and he ditched his bike on the river bank. He stripped himself of his outer clothes and neatly folded them up. Adjusting his b

Group Submission Rules!

I'm doing a bit of maintenance here at the group, moving things around and trying to make it better for members, and that includes the explanation of the groups submission rules! The group rules are kinda spread out and explained in different places including in blogs, gallery folder description, a bit on the groups main blog etc... but while I get everything more organized here's a list of the submission rules(if you have a questions please don't hesitate to ask us.)

:bulletred: Please submit your deviation to the correct folder!! There are quite a few folders to chose from and I'm always surprised by how many people seem to miss the select folder option. ^^ If you don't select a folder it automatically submits it to the first folder on the list, which is the Abuse awareness folder.

:bulletblue: Mature Content is allowed however overtly graphic pictures, drawings or descriptions of nudity(genitalia) and of sex or abuse in progress will likely not be accepted as they can be triggering to some members. Sometimes it depends on the context. And please tag your mature content with a warning.

:bulletorange: Self Harm related are allowed provided that they aren't a picture of real self harm(ex: fresh cuts) and only incidental scarring pictures are allowed. Not pictures where showing your scars are the entire or main focus. This is all according to DeviantArts own rules. Also overtly descriptive literature or drawings are not allowed either as many people find them triggering. If you aren't sure whether your deviation is appropriate for the group or not, please feel free to have a look through our Self Harm Awareness folder to see what types of deviations we accept.

:bulletblack: Nothing that glorifies Suicide or is too much of a graphic portrayal of suicide. Also no Suicide Notes!

:bulletblue: Eating Disorder/body image Related deviations: We do not accept deviations with pictures of people looking emaciated(drawings may sometimes be accepted depending on the context) and nothing encouraging an eating disorder.

:bulletgreen: Please nothing that is overtly violent, gory or too bloody! The group is an awareness and support group so many of these deviations don't relate to our cause.

:bulletyellow: The deviaiton needs to be related to the group! Deviations about romance, teen romance, general angst, your dog, random animals and fruits will not be accepted.(you might be surprised at some of the deviations people have tried to submit before ;P )

:bulletpurple: Nothing that goes against DA's rules! (so no child pornography, no deviation that harasses another deviant etc...)

:bulletred: No original character or fan Art submissions! Alters are allowed as they are a part of someone but characters pretending to be alters or that just happen to have a mental illness are not for this group. ^^

*** If you have any questions, a suggestion or have a concern with something that was accepted into the groups gallery then please don't hesitate to send the group a note or message. Please feel free to contact me(the founder and :iconilovekakashi28:) directly through a note as well. I do always respond.

Admins

The Founder: As the founder I'm the most active admin and I'm involved in everything you see here at the group. More recently I've aquired other admins to help out in certain areas since the group has grown quite large. ^^ I'm online everyday except for days when I go on vacation.

The Gallery Mods: They like me are volunteer staff that help out with approving or declining(where applicable) deviations being submitted to the group. They may also make blogs, answer group messages and notes left by members and approve affiliates.

The Tech Wizard: All the groups CSS work(blog skins, custom box desgins etc...) get made and installed by our Tech Wiz!! The group is so much prettier now!

The Story Project Contributors: This is a temporary position reserved only for those participating in the story project. After they post their story these members will get moved back into the regular member position.

*** If you are interested in becoming an admin you can try sending me a note, but please note that not everyone who asks will get an admin position! Especially if you are brand new to the group or have never been an admin in a DA group before. ^^

Thanks for accepting me into the group. I can't guarantee I'll be able to contribute all that much, but it's nice to feel welcome.

Hi.
I just recently found this group via a person I watch, who posted a journal about it.

I wanted to take a moment to thank the creators and supporters of this group.
Words cannot express how thankful I felt when I found this group.
I can't believe how many caring people have joined together to raise awareness.
It's so lifting to know I'm not alone.

so...thank you.

Hello to all of my fellow writers. I've recently finished my novel and am trying to find representation. Finding an agent/publisher is hard for a first time author.

I have created a webpage with my poetry and short stories available. I will be adding more soon and keeping everyone updated on the status of my novel and the publishing world.

Please join my webpage and help support me. If I can prove I have interested people in my work I feel as though I have a much higher chance at success.

Thank you for making this group. It's so important for people to be made aware of psychological disorders such as this; I find they're still somewhat of a taboo in society. As a victim and survivor of clinical depression, it warms my heart to see that someone else out there cares so much about people who have been through these things. Thank you. <3
